That means, in general, that your income, family structure, house and cars, even your personality are all pretty similar to the people you are around most often. Even though we are all unique, many of your daily actions and lifetime goals fit in pretty closely with the ambitions of your friends.

All parents have seen this happen whenever their child gets a new best friend. Their child starts to bring home different behaviors almost instantly. I am always amazed at how much my children change when they get a new class for school. 5 Steps to Better Friendships

friendshipThis weekend I had the amazing opportunity to travel with a group of young people to visit a training center for the mentally disabled. Most of the patients living there have been there since they were born and now range in age from 40-65. They all suffer from different mental disabilities. Some are able to communicate, some just stare blankly into space. Some are limited to wheelchairs, others can get up and move around. Just about all of them have the mental development of a child between the ages of 3-7.

We spent the morning talking with them, singing children’s songs, and interacting in any way we could. What impressed me most was the unconditional acceptance and love that these wonderful patients had for anyone who would come near them.… Read the rest!

The Law of Attraction or the Law of Magnetism would say that you attract and surround yourself with people similar to yourself. I think if we look around society, we would agree. The rich usually group together with the rich. The positive with the positive. The negative with the negative. The athletes, the computer programmers, the historians, and the artists all tend to find themselves surrounded by people with similar interests, disposition, socioeconomic status, etc.
